I would rather be in the worst of circumstances, but married to a man who is being obedient to what God has called him to do (even if it's tough and hard and scary and not always safe), than to be in the best of circumstances and married to a man who is being disobedient and whose heart is not following his passions or his dreams or his God.
This is a hard statement to live but it is my truth and it's something I feel very strongly about. Even when my own strength fails and moving overseas seems like the worst idea ever, I know that it isn't. Because I will always choose the "worst" with him and God, than the "best" with me and my fears.
I could not will not do NOT AGREE WITH YOU MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEE i WOULD rather be BUTT poor in a studio apartment or on the STREETS with a man that loved GOD LIKE CRAZY AND SOUGHT ALL THE THINGS OF GOD AND LOVED JESUS than a man with a lot of money, materialism, "security" who didn't!!!! Man yes!!!!
ReplyDeletewow. :) that's an amazing thing to say, and i know God is faithful to bless those who seek him!
ReplyDeleteI'm committed to this too, and you know? I think in holding steady besides our men as they walk the line God draws from their hearts... it makes us into the women He created us to be, shapes the path we're intended to walk.
ReplyDeleteWow, this has me thinking really deep thoughts on a holiday eve. But I one hundred percent agree. How can you not? When it comes down to it, without family and faith I have very little. All the rest is just nothing.
ReplyDeleteAmena and amen! I totally agree with everything you said!
