The cutest goodbye.

I love our dog. However, we are pretty sure that our sweet little pup suffers from a mild case of separation anxiety.  He hates it when we leave and protests loudly if he ends up having to stay in Narnia (our name for his Kennel) while we go out and have adventures (like work and Meijer and the post office and such).  If Josh is home and I'm leaving both of them, Buddy always gives me the cutest, sweetest 'puppy goodbye' in the world.

It begins once he establishes that I am, in fact, leaving.  (He starts getting suspicious as I grab my purse and put my shoes on...)

Then he comes over and begs to come with me.

Like, really begs.  This picture has to be the most literal picture of "puppy eyes" I have ever seen.

 

As soon as I close the door, Buddy bolts to the other side of the house so he can

watch me as I walk to the car and leave.  There is a tiny nook between the stove and the refrigerator that he squeezes into and peers out; watching my every step.

It's really very sweet and always makes me feel all warm inside when he does it.  Dogs are so good at teaching humans how to love unconditionally, aren't they?

Needless to say, this was only a drill so that I could capture his cuteness on film.  As I made my way back to the other side of the house, he ran to greet me at the door again.  Excited that I didn't, in fact, leave him behind :)

::sigh:: I sure do love life with my two guys!
